Vent Shades for 2001 Maxima GLE

I am trying to figure out which vent shades to get. I already have the ones that stick on the outside of the car but the rear ones are falling off after 2 years of them being on. They are the ones that stick on the outside of the car's trim. I have the AVS ones installed which I do not plan to get again.

My questions are:
1. Which vent shades are the best for actually keeping out the rain when you crack open your window a little. I have seen on the forums that weathertech are good but to me it seems like they may be to thin and cannot hold out the rain. Please correct me if I am wrong and if anyone has any experience with this please let me know.

2. How hard is it/what is the process to take the sticky tape off of the chrome trim of a Maxima when you already had the double sided tape vent shades on. What would I need to take this off where it will be safe for the car and easy process.

This is the reason I want to go with the non adhesive vent shades. Any help would be extremely welcomed. thanks

You don't have many options, just go with weathertech.

nice. thanks for the info. If you can steer me in the right direction with the residue cleaner that would be great. I will go with Weathertech.
Now the question is where's the cheapest place to get the weathertech shades?

I got mine a couple months ago and the cheapest place was actually the Weathertech website. I think it came out to $110 shipped.

Another vote for weather tech. Had them on my previous truck for 7 or 8 years.
