ABS Light

came on last week. checked it with a code reader. the reader showed a few o2 sensor codes but nothing else. cleared codes. light still on.

do i need a certain reader to see ABS codes?

The ABS light coming on doesn't necessarily mean a code will be thrown. Our ABS light came on last year and no code was found. Turned out that the right-rear sensor had failed. Actually, I think it broke.

You have an open circuit on one of the sensors. Pull the code at Autozone.

Autozone doesnt read ABS codes, from what I've been told.

Try a local shop with Evo Genisys scanner (or dealership, which is more $) and they should be able to tell you which ABS sensor needs replaced.

More than likely an open circuit wheel sensor. Open the connectors, and probe them. BTDT.

Standard code readers do NOT work for Nissan ABS.

^^+1 FOR WHAT HE SAID

Also my ABS light has been coming on and come to find out i have an open circuit at the rear driver side wheel. Im awaiting the part so i can take it to frank hills garage here in baltimore, so he can fix it. I hope it makes the "grinding/pulsation" noise and brake pedal feel go away....If it doesnt im getting rid of the car

My rear driver abs sensor has been on now for about 6 months. The dealer wanted a ridic price to put in a new one. I heard the install was tough, I thought all it was was PNP though. Oh well. I'll replace it eventually. RECALL THE REAR DRIVER SENSOR

i have heard good and bad things, i think if there is dirt and grit in there, it may cause it to be a pain. its a shame places charge so much to read codes.
