how to test ballas and HID

hello, would anyone happen to know how to test the 02-03 maxima headlights on a 2000 maxima...befor i install i need to no if the used hid kit works,,, does anyone know a way i can test? thanks

hook it up to the battery? Find someone that has an 02-03 and test it on theirs? take a chance?

yeah thats the thing i dont no anyone lol...is their any wire hookup way?

If just testing the ballast and bulb, just take the red wire to + and black wire to - on the battery.

Perhaps an inline fuse too, just to be sure you don't cook something...

Not sure the minimum you'd need, but the lower the better...

He won't need a fuse to test an HID kit for 5 seconds , it's not like the battery will fry anything.

yeah im thinking about getting rid of these
there too much of a hassel to hookup...i have the clear lenses from malibu but they arent installed and i have 02-03 headlights with bulbs and ballast that work..let me know if you want them

That's a good way to test the ballasts and bulbs to see if they work but I know that my bulbs are busted and I'm ordering new ones but is there anyway just to test the ballast? Do they hummm or bzzz at all when getting power...I just dont wanna drop money on replacement bulbs if the ballasts are busted too....Any ideas?
