ES Motor Mounts!

Well, I've got the rear ES solid poly bushing pressed in using my car as a press! It was pretty cool! But I ran into a problem... the rear mount fit together perfectly, but the front motor mount bore is to darn big! I'm glad I bought some junkyard mounts to experiment with, cause if I have would burned out those installed on my car right now....I'll would be stuck like chuck right now !!!!! Anyway, I'll pass it on to the rest of you regarding the 02-03 automatics the front mount bore is too big so I guess the ES motor mount are really intended for the MT's Maximas. I'll pass by one of my local machine shops and see if my buddy can fabricate a bush/sleeve for me with an interference fit into the motor mount bore and then I can press the ES mounts in and install them along with the subframe bushings as well. Can't wait to see how it pulls off the line now! Using soapy water made it really easy since the directions recommend that you don't use any grease to install it.

if you pressed out the front mount to put the es insert and the es inserts doesnt fit thats because the front mount has a sensor on it therfore it has a bigger diameter you would have to buy a front mount without the sensor on the mount so the es insert can fit perfectly it doesnt matter if you at or mt cuz i did it

Wish I would have known that the electronic controller/bushing bore was the only difference! I thought maybe the bracket was different as well for a geomtric reason! Thanks for the info...But it has to be a 02-03 MT front mount...right? I'll see if I can locate a front junkyard MT for a few $$...I already got the bushing/sleeve being made at a local machine shop...I dropped that off this morning at about 0830.
How's the cabin idle vibration?...VQ30's are smoother than VQ35's! How about your launch? Does it hook up even better now and is it noticeable in your times and launch behavior?

Can be any MT mount from 95-03. There is a user in the 4th and 5th gen classified section that sells already-gutted mounts. Perfect for pressing in the ES ones.

Depending on your car, it may bring out more rattles and "buzzing", and you will feel more vibration at idle, but it isn't intolerable. Obviously, once you are on the go, there's hardly any difference.
