Time to buy me some springs. But first...

I've searched through a few threads here on peoples' suspension setups as far as the 5/5.5 gens go, and I've seen the KSport coilovers, but not the GT lowering springs

Does KSport even manufacture these for our gen? I've seen them on eBay, and I wasn't sure if someone had maybe listed them wrong, 'cause I haven't really seen them anywhere else.

If KSport does make them for the 5th gens...anyone have any experience with them? Good or bad. I'm curious to know before I invest...

My friend has KSports on his Prelude and he says they're great...my only concern is that it's an aggressive drop.

Yeah, definitely. I know there's no way the factory struts could handle a 2" drop if I decide to go with the KSports.

Yea, factory wont handle it, go with illuminas, or better yet, save up and get coilovers.

Eh, I'm not in for coil-overs. I'm not going to be at the track much, so I figure Illuminas + springs will be fine.

Besides, aren't the cheapest coil-overs around $950 for the 5 gens? No way I can afford that right now...

Yeah, I'm not looking to go all-out...at least on my current Max. It's a bit old for that.

I'm just looking to get a little more response out of the suspension and a little more of an aggressive stance.

if you buy everything brand new, the price will get close to the $650 for Ksport coilovers. My Illuminas + progress springs came out to about $650 for both.

That's why I was looking into the KSport GT springs. They only run about $140 on eBay, and from what I've heard, KSport is decent, but at the same time, I know how it goes...you get what you pay for.

That way, Illuminas + Ksports = about $580...ballpark.

I haven't seen the KSport coilovers for $650 anywhere...

u could always pick up something used on here, i picked up d2's for my 4th gen for less than $500 shipped, with only like 3k on them. just food for thought.

any idea what the spring rate on the k sport springs are? i know theyre coilovers are quiet stiff wonder how their springs are

I haven't seen the spring rate anywhere, but from what I've read into on other cars, the springs are quite stiff. Apparently they do perform pretty well, though.

If I pick them up, I'll see about figuring out what the spring rate is on them.

Who ever told you that K Sports are "good," you were lied to. They are noisy as hell and just ride like **** after awhile. My boy ordered them and I've driven his car numerous times.

Personally I was on D2's and hated them. Same ****. Main issue with both coilovers sets mentioned were the ball joint up top.

I'm on Tein SS Coilovers now and life is luxury even on 20's tucking. Best coilovers out there aside from Jic VIP's.

Point being. Don't buy **** from K-Sport. If want the aggressive drop then go with the S-techs and of course the Illuminas.

By the way, coilovers aren't strictly for track. They allow you to drop the car lower and more evenly still maintaining the comfort. GL.

I know, I'd love a set of the Tein SS's. But I honestly can't afford $1200 right now. That, and I've heard that blow-outs are common with coilovers on rough roads? Maybe that's just talk, but that's something Nashville seems to have an issue with getting rid of.

Thanks for the heads up on the KSports. I was originally going to invest in the S-Techs until someone mentioned the KSports, but I wasn't sure so I figured I'd do some asking around first...

You said you had the two rear H&Rs right?

Edit: Yeah. You did. I read up. How much do you want for them? And I need to find someone who has the front ones...
