Good price on a 2K2 Maxima GXE?

What's a good price on a 2K2 Maxima GXE above invoice not including tax, destination charge, license, etc.?

After test driving one along w/a Camry V6, and Accord V6, I'm really leaning towards the Max now. The Camry felt weak in comparison. I live near Seattle, WA and haven't started the negotiation phase yet. Has anyone tried going thru etailnetwork or autobytel.com via edmunds.com instead of haggling w/a dealer?

Check out carsdirect.com they usually have at invoice for the gxe or even couple dollars below. Call dealers and ask for fleet or internet managers and ask them if they can do believe invoice. Tell them cardirect.com is selling at invoice and ask them what they can do. If they can beat it say you'll think about it, and call somewhere else giving them carsdirect.com's price and the previously quoted dealer and ask if they can beat it. Most likely they will say yes and you got yourself a deal. Going directly to the dealer is a waste of time because all you'll end up doing is negotiating for a long time. So car around and ask for fleet or internet managers. I did the same thing and got my 2k2 SE for 300 under invoice. Yes 300 under invoice. SO it is possible. Just call around and use carsdirect.com for a starting off price. Goodluck.

Thanks for the advice... Unfortunately, carsdirect is coming up w/a price that's $450 higher than their invoice. Their invoice also includes some $400 of advertising fees, fuel charges, etc. (which to me seems a bit odd) that edmunds.com doesn't include in theirs.

I see the same thing if I configure my car on that site. It would lead me to believe I paid $29.00 below invoice.

Tomcat
When figuring $29 below invoice, did you include the destination charge? Edmund's separates it, whereas carsdirect includes it in the invoice price.
