Strut bearing acting up?

I just put new struts and springs up front and I get a really weird squeak on the DS. I can duplicate it by taking the tire off and slightly shaking the rotor from side to side. I checked all of the bolts, hub and CV axle is new and the rotor isn't rubbing so I am stuck what might be causing it. I thought is might be the strut bearing but the sound seems to be coming from the lower part of the assembly by the rotor. The sound is definitely a high pitched squeak/ Almost like a metal to metal slightly rubbing.

Have you tried spraying some WD or other lubricant around the area, see if the noise goes away?

Did you lube the plastic with some white lithium grease during assembly? Do you have the coil spring isolators on the spring seats properly?

wd40 is a petroleum based product. You will damage the strut mount. Due to its location you probably have to spray a whole can to get it to the bearing

Not the strut mount, down in the wheel hub area.

have you ever done brakes? if you take the tire off it will have play if it separates from the hub.
You wanna check strut bearing? put both tires back on raise the front end, and then turn it side to side. If it snaps or had some kind of excessive noise then do the bearing.
Perhaps you forgot to install the bearing haha

...did I say it was a solution? No, it would be part of diagnosis.

Where I thought the noise was coming from.

Obviously, internet diagnosis without any reasonably clear details on where he thinks the noise is coming from isn't the most precise thing. Nor is any internet diagnosis, really.
