Is there a tutorial out there on how to change brakes?

I will have my new rotors and pads tomorrow and need to install them myself. I cant afford to have someone do them and the local shop said I have about 2% of life left and I am riding on my indicators. Anywhere a write up or video tutorial is out there?

Thanks guys!!

Funny how your shop can measure exactly 2% brake life

Good luck on the brakes!

seemy2k2go beat me to it but always check out his site-he's an avid orger (housecor) and does some of the best write-ups/how-tos on the web for our cars

Its pretty easy, just a little more difficult than changing your oil. You'll be just fine. Remember to bed them in properly though

This is about the most detailed write-up you can use. If it still looks scary, I would probably re-think doing them yourself.

Which he said he hasn't, so for someone doing this for the first time, it may appear to be rather daunting.

its not that bad. just have some everyday tools handy (especially a pair of pliers for the rear)

I thought it would be too much for me too but try to get a friend to help you and it should be fairly simple.

I think the hardest part was loosening the bolts on the calipers.. now that took some effort lol

He said "daunting". Didn't expect to see that word used in this forum.

Yeah I have not. I think that Stormz is going to help out. Normally I would not mind trying on my own but on a daily driver it freaks me out as I cannot afford to be without a car.

Took me about 3-4 minutes per side once I got the wheels off to change the pads.

You ought to be able to find a link to the factory service manual (FSM).

It took me a about 10 minutes per side for pads and rotors mainly because i didnt have a clamp big enough to fit around the entire caliper assembly so i had to separate it to depress the piston. The worst part of the job for me is gathering all the tools and putting them back away.

all the FSMs are right here by the way:
