HELP, with window problom
HELP, with window problom
My driverside window was stuck down and would not come up. So I removed the door panel and checked the motor and found voltage at the motor in both the up and down position. So I thought the switch and wires are good ,the motor must be bad. I got a new motor plugged it in and it does the same thing. The window slides up and down freely, and even when I had the motor out hanging (not connected to the regulater) it only worked when the switch was in the down position. When I put my meter on the leed wires I get 12v in 1 positon and -12v in the other. So did I just get a bad motor or am I missing something?
don't forget to also check for ground first. So hook one lead to positive battery and the other one to your harness. It should say 12 volts so then you know you have good ground as well.
Try this install window slightly up and see if it goes down. If it does, replace the switch as you know wiring is ok right? Switch is what controlls everything

The problom has been found, its the window switch. Just like in others posts, when they slamed the door it works. When I hit the switches it worked. I took apart the whole door for nothing. Live and learn.
