I put stillin headers on a 03 maximaa and I had no problems... worth the money....every bolt was in the right spot and i did not have to shave anything!!! It came with a O2 sensor box to bypass the cats as well...so for someone to look at the car and make the parts the right way with out shaving motor mounts or cutting crossmembers well worth it... Give it a go if you want a clean install. Even if it does not add h/p it saved about 50lbs off the car

see, thats the reason most ppl wouldnt buy em, is because they prove no gains........... however bmkmcm i say you dyno you car and let us know if these non gains accusasions are true cause i find it hard to believe that with removing cats you gain no power, i say dyno or take it to your local track... i would like to know what these do on different cars

hotshots do "own" but the no gains may be false so lets not run away with this no gain thing, because the guy that said the had no gains got his car fixed and the did dyno a difference

sorry for the short post, but after being on this forum for an x amount of years that's all you hear people talk about and nag ohh this is so expensive blah blah blah. Also the stillen headers were actually dynoed a long time ago and someone lost power with them and others had tiny gains this was discussed when the headers came out. I was merely laughing at the usual cheapness of the maxima drivers.

Holy cow, time for a history lesson people.

Stillen headers are a short tube header design, along with a Y-pipe. Does it make power? Of course it does, it replacing the restrictive stock Y-pipe. HOWEVER, the headers themselves made no extra power. All the gains came from the Y-pipe.

Short tube headers have been shown to gain approx 1 horsepower give or take over the stock headers. This has also been shown using extrude honed stock headers. I know none of you have been around long enough to remember who he is, but Don in Texas did this several years ago, before any header options were even available for the Maxima. It was also before he decided to jump ship with everyones VB mod money, but that’s another story for another time.

Cliffs: Stillen headers make approx the same power as just there Y-pipe, give or take a few HP.

Everyone wants to re-invent the wheel, and then argue about it afterwards.
