Seat Covers

Anyone hear have seat covers? Where did you get them from and how much did they cost? I want to protect the leather on the two fron seats with something that looks decent. Thanks!

Why pay all that money and not use the leather? Are you going to remove the covers for special occasions? You can use the leather, then replace them when they get worn. Sorry I'm not answering your question, just questioning the logic

seat covers

Bought shhepskin seat covers @ Sam's. Roughly $40 a cover. A hassle to install, don't feel bad @ all in colder weather. Leather seats are in perfect condition, would like to keep them that way.

I was thinking the same thing. My last 3 cars have had leather in them (Mazda MX-6, Grand Cherokee Ltd., SVT Contour) and I had them for 4, 2, and 3 years. The leather in each looked nearly as good the day I sold them as the day that I bought them new.

Just use a good leather cleaner AND conditioner every few months, take your time on it, and the leather will last forever. Besides, do you really want that seat cover "look" ? Wouldn't you rather feel that nice, soft leather next to your skin?

When I was a boy back east many households put seat covers over their good living room furniture, and then put plastic covers on top to protect the seat covers. Even then the living room was declared off limits and everyone lived in their fixed up basement rec rooms; rooms with cheap wood paneling, that were damp and cold with no windows.

I'm sure that when they died most of the unused living room furniture was given to the Salvation Army in brand new condition for someone else to actually use. I never understood the logic.
