i was bored today so i popped my hood and turned the car on and i heard an odd sound, forgot what exactly, but what got me was when i revved the engine, i heard a scratching type sound when pushing about 1.1k.....maybe like sumthing was rubbing......i took the car for a drive and couldnt hear it, but i dont think it was loud enough to be heard so i dunno....help?

is the sound still there?

take a section of rubber hose.. put one end in your ear and the other ine the engine bay. move it slowly until the noise is the loudest.

That should help narrow down where the noise is coming from thus helping determine what it is.
