Hi i was wondering if there is any way i can install a 9004 hid kit (from my old 97 maxima) into my 9003 headlight housing/connectors.

i know i would need to cut some connectors and all in theory but has anyone done this or think it would be a good/bad idea? would the ballasts and everything work properly? thanks

 

yes, you just need new bulbs... just buy replacement pair from EBAY.

I did that. moved from 4th gen to my 5th gen.

 

so does that mean i would cut the original headlight connector off and just connect the wires instead? its a 3 prong, im guessing 1 is a ground or something.. the old setup uses 2 wires
