Touch up paint

Have you tried it ? If so, does it blend well with the original paint or can you tell that the touch up paint has been applied ?
Any info would be great. Thanks

if u look closely, of course u can tell touch up paint has been applied.. can't see it far away.

it's good for a few inconspicuous places, but don't overuse or else your car will like it has the chicken pox.

You might want to try Nissans new paint pens... My biggest complaint about the touch up paint has been that it doesn't have the shine like with the clearcoat. The new paint pans are supposed to have a side of color and a side for a clearcoat to put on top of the touched up spot. I haven't tried this yet

The regular touch up paint works fine when viewing far away, but up close is a different story.
I've heard good things about the pens, but haven't tried them.

The paint pen works pretty good....I used it on a few smaller chips and you can't tell there's a chip until you get close up to it. Plus the pens have clearcoat on them also, so the chips shine like the rest of the car.

all I can say is they suck(the pens), I'll take a picture of it tomorrow on the part I touch uped with clearcoat and paint. The clearcoat doesn't really work, its kinda like water, when you put it on it just slides down.

I'm not sure if all dealers have them yet, but I know that Courtesy Nissan advertises them online. I'll bet that most places should have them... Try Dave B?

Just got off the phone with Nissan's regional PDC, they said the paint pens must be aftermarket, Nissan does not offer them.

Anyone have any parts numbers on those pens? Preferably for super-black? My dealer has no idea what I'm talking about. Sez he has never seen the pens.
TIA,
Jim
