Winter Tire/Rim Pics

In one of the threads about winter tires I promised to post photos of the rims and tires I got from TireRack. Here they are.

I purchased the 16" Sport Edition Fox 2 rims with 215/55/16 Bridgestone Blizzaks. I went down -1 on the rims and tires to save money (about $400) and get a slightly thinner tire to help out with traction. Everything mounted, balanced and delivered was less than $900.

It was pouring last night when I finally got them mounted and I can say that the wet traction is way better than the stock Potenzas. They squirm like crazy during quick freeway lane changes though.

All in all I think they look pretty good on the Max. Sorry about the web page though, I threw it together in five minutes.

Looks pretty good. Nice price you paid also. I didn't want to get 16" rims cuz they are not cheap here, at least semi-nice looking ones.

wheel well gaps Even with the 17's, I think my max looks like a 4x4. I don't want to lower the car though, so I guess I have to deal with it.

I think those wheels are really sharp. And you will never go through winter again without snow tires after owning some. They are awesome!

Have fun!
