Help Needed about Bushing!!!!
Ok i have been hearing a loud banging noise coming from my suspension when i would hit a bump or anything in the road and its been annoying the he** outta me for a couple of months now so my and my boy got under the car today and came across this bushing where the noise was coming from...
this bushing was right in front of the passenger rear wheel on what is the trailing arm???? maybe (if thats what its called). The picture is the picture of the bushing thats on the driver side and still intact while the passenger side one was busted and the grease was all leaked out, I really want to know what this bushing is called or a proper name for it so i can go about getting another one, so if anyone knows what this bushing is called i would appreciate it and if replaced can you get it from an autoparts store or from nissan only, thanks.

i've read lots of posts about this, it's not as easy as it seems, on my car both sides are shot, it doesn't bother that much but if i want to change i'll rather change the whole beam than the bushings! also my mechanic told me that if would take forever to change the bushings!

Personally, I would just go to a junkyard and get the entire beam (assuming the bushigns look good in it). I went 150k on my maxima with alot of track work and never had issues with those bushings, I think you were just unlucky.
It will cost less and be less hassle to just install a junkyard beam. Otherwise you have to press the old ones out and new ones in (do they even make replacement bushings?)
Dropping the rear axle is difficult and time-consuming but not impossible...

A rear beam from a junkyard is going to cost you anywhere from $125-150. In my opinion, you really are taking a chance on how good of shape its in until its actually on the ride.
OTOH, the trailing arm bushing set from Energy Suspension is anywhere from $55-75, depending on what online dealer you get it from.
So although the install might be a little more time consuming than just installing a junkyard beam, its definitely worth the peace of mind to go with new ES bushings if you can do it yourself.
Here is the step by step on how to do this procedure:
