Did you get your headlight issues resolved? (I think i remember reading this in another thread)

Follow the FSM link in my signaature. Download all the PDFS for your car. You may or may not need a haynes manual after you get these pdf's
Theres an autozone on my street, thats going to be the first thing I do. The connectors are corroded badly.

The headlights are still out, brights still work. I browsed through the pdfs, went through the headlamp diagnostics and came across a little problem. There was an option for left low beam headlamp out, right low beam headlamp out, or both low beam headlamps out. There wasnt an option for both low beams out but high beams work. Would I just go with both low beams out?

Yeah, try with both out. Check the usual bulbs, fuses and wiring first. High beams are a separate circuit, so the diag wont have something with low and high.

You're 18 and it's your first car, here's what you should do:

1: In the future, don't make the mistake of living beyond your means. So NO modding, and no more financing 02 maxima's for your 1st car.

2: Prevent the motor from using a ton of oil by Gutting the front pre-cat (Install a simulator to get rid of the CEL). Then, stay on top of the oil changes.

3: Drive it into the ****ing ground. Seriously, as long as the wheels aren't going to fall off, the tires are good, and the brakes are good, **** all the unneeded maintenance like struts and rear member bushings, you're 18 and it's your first car, fix that stuff once it's payed off. Pay it off sooner with the money you will save. I'd rather have a ****ty ride and a good credit score than vice versa. FYI, I have a ****ty ride and a good credit score

4: Don't speed, don't be an idiot, limit talking on the phone, don't be a ****ing idiot, pay attention, and don't be an idiot.

Ahhhhh to have the last 8 years of my life back, the things I would have done different..........

I don't understand how someone can say that struts are an 'un-needed' repair. If you hit a pothole big enough you could be scrambling for control.

my credit is important to me, which Is why Im going to make payments on time rather then paying it off, which wouldnt help me establish credit. Maybe after a year of paying on time Ill pay most of it off.

Im gonna mod it bro. Im not a 40 year old man. Im not that broke. Wheels/stillen kit/audio/catback/headers is where Im gonna stop. My cars got potential, but Im not in any rush to do all of it.

Lol. I'm sure there are lots of 40 (or close to it) year old men who mod and a lot of under 40 guys (including myself; 24 BTW) who don't. You say you're not that broke; ok, no one's gonna tell you how much money you should spend on your car, but at 18 in college (don't know if you're paying it yourself) and you just getting a job as a valet driver (how long have you been driving???), people are just trying to look out for you and tell you not to waste money on things that aren't important.

If this next comment doesn't apply to you than ignore it, but, don't be in a rush to be a racer! You're gonna do what you want but young guys who just start driving wanna act like they're in NASCAR and drive very carelessly. Don't be part of that demographic!

how long max

There are alot of Max's well past 200k. Maintenance, maintenance and more maintenance to assure more miles. Change oil every 5k, follow the book for air filters, cabin filters, tranny, coolent changes. "Assume" plugs have been changed. Fuel filter is integral in the tank. Oh ya, use premium gas - I use 93 oct in mine.
