Sunroof causes minimum headroom for driver?

I'm 5' 10.5" and when in a 2002 GLE, driver's position, with a sunroof, the ceiling is about 3/4" away from my scalp. I can feel my modest length hair being caught by the ceiling liner.

Has anybody else experienced this lowness but still bought the car anyways?

Did you get used to it, or does it still feel too cramped?

The sunroof takes away a considerable amount of headroom. I'm a little taller than you, and the ceiling was just too low on the 5th gens. with sunroofs.

It took me some time to find a SE without a sunroof, and I've heard there were very, very few 5th Gen. 5speed SE's shipped without sunroofs.

I am 6'2" or so and never had a problem with the sunroof. My seat is all the way back and reclined a bit though....

I'm 6'3" and headroom is never a problem for me because I'm all leg and my upper body is disproportionately short. My problem is legroom lengthwise and laterally (side to side), and that last part is why I don't fit in a Maxima

I am 6 foot and drive with a fairly upright seat and have a jar-head hair cut. When I feal my hair on the roof it's time for a cut.

I already had the seat back, and lowered.

The ceiling is still low. I just don't know if it's unsafe.

In Canada, all GLE's have sunroofs.

I like to sit erect

Else my neck soon makes an uncomfortable angle with my torso. Kitchen chair posture is what I imagine I should have.

I'm 5'11" and I have the same problem. I find that the front of the seat doesn't lower quite enough. This causes me to raise the back of the seat slightly so I'm not sitting as though it were tilted back. I've gotten used to it, though. Like bert, I think I may use it to remind me to get a haircut.

Just the opposite, at 5'8.5" I raise the lower cusion to the top so the lumbar support hits me in the lower back where it should.
Still have lots of room to the roof and have always thought the cars are too tall!

the real problem is that the seats are mounted too high in the cabin. Lower the seats, lower the roof line and the cars would be much prettier.
