On the verge of selling my max...

I have had my Max for about 7 months now and i love her. The only problem i seem to have is that the rear passenger side suspension seems to be damaged some how. I have swapped both sides to see if it was the suspension it self and the same problem continues. I have Tein super street coilovers.

What happens is that the suspension never gets stiff. i will put it on the stiffest setting and still get nothing. the wheel just bounces right into the fender when i go over a bump. Im trying to figure this out.

Could there be anything else wrong other than the coilovers that could cause this problem?

i understand you're frustrated, but dont sell your max for that reason.. we'll help you figure out the problem.. it just started doing it when you put the new suspension on?

i have had it on the car ever since i purchased it. It has never been right on that side. I Haven't taken it to the dealership yet. Im just really frustrated because i cant take passengers in my car because of how weak the suspension is over there.

Im going to put OEM suspension in today hopefully and see if its my coilovers once again. I just don't know what to do now...

you dont necessarily have to take it to the dealer... unless of course you like getting screwed... just take it to a qualified mechanic.. chances are it's just a worn out component that's easily replaceable.. you have any mechanics that you trust?

i'll take it to a guy i know. Hopefully it is just a worn out part.

i have also switched dampers just to see if it was blown. it isn't the damper to my knowledge.

Well if after putting the stock suspension pieces doesn't change anything, the next thing to check is the rest of the suspension piece (the axle beam, and the 2 other beams that support the axle). There could be something busted there.

There's seriously like 100 local Maryland members on here who would be happy to look at your car for you. I'd look into that if I were you.

He said it's been doing it even before he replaced his suspension and he swapped sides on the rear, so I doubt it's a damper. Check all the bushings back there. If they're in bad shape your beam could deflect differently than it's supposed to.
