Eyelids...to paint or not to paint

Ok folks..eyelids came last nite. They are from ebay-fibre customs. I believe its a friend of The Law. Anyway-SUPER nice product and seriously arrived in like 4 days so A+ for that guy.

Anyway-I have an 02 sterling mist SE w/angel eyes. Thoughts and opinions on painting these to match or just clear coating(they are flat black now).

Thanks!

match the body. its the whole point of eyelids, to make the headlight opening appear narrower.

I think it depends...

For a black max, carbon fiber eye-lids would look pretty decent too...

I'm trying to figure out what to do with these myself.

i wouldnt buy online-theres a great local auto paint shop about 10 mins from me here that is a vendor on a local forum, quoted me $21 for an aerosol of KT3 base. not sure where online to get the oem base.

@mist max2000-do you have an online supplier?

I just ordered some myself, and plan on painting them the body color.
I bought the matched paint from NAPA, $20.

I have the clear protective film on my headlights, and it is pretty hefty stuff maybe 1/16" thick. Does anyone know if I will be able to install the eyelids over this without removing oe trimming the film?

Thanks...

Great! Thanks... looking forward to the pictures.
Any install tips?
They look pretty straight forward, but you may have little suggestions for this or that?
Thanks
