02-03 Owners with cracked fog light(s)

I am in no way affiliated with this company, I just wanted to pass along a good deal. This ebay seller is offering 2 new fog lights for $84.03 aftermarket, if you have a bing cashback account you can save 12% or $10.08 making it only $73.95 for 2 new fog lights! Just I thought I would pass it on.

Buy 2 sets of each cause thier not durable at all...even if you protect them with the laminate lense protector it a chance they will crack due to bulb temps! My original fogs were cracked within 3 months of buying my 03 off the showroom floor. i replaced them with Oem from Courtesy Nissan and applied the laminated clear lense protection 6 yrs ago...No problem since!

Nice. Free shipping, too. Man, where were you a few months ago?

CMax does come around to a good point, though. The 5.5 lenses are glass, and predisposed to crack.

You can also use the plexiglass which protects better than the laminate film does.

Really...The laminated film I use can take a .22 caliber pellet gun shot and not break/crack the lense at all from 25 ft. But that plexiglass will help hold the heat in the foglight assy and cause that copycat foglight to crack due to heat...

You may be right in that respect but I don't know anyone who can hit the foglight on a moving car with a pellet gun. And if you have friends with kids who shoot bb guns around your cars they should be dealt with appropriately.

FWIW, I mentioned the plexiglass because I've seen it used on a few cars, (Jaguar, F150, Mazda6) and it worked real good. A close friend used the laminate on his 03 Mercedes E355 and still got a broke foglight.

The pellet gun scenario is a test that is used to illustrate the protective strenght of the Laminate sheets I use by the manufacture...It has nothing to do with ppl/kids shooting @ moving or parked cars!! A friend of mine used laminated protection on his EBay purchased 5.5 fogs and they cracked as well... but this is due too heat not a strike! You can tell when there is not impact damage, just a straight a$$ crack! The EBay and aftermarket fogslights have really thin glass lense when compared to the Oem foglights
