Should I leave them as is?

Should I Debadge Period?

see sig, blk on blk btw.

Just curious. Anyone with pictures of blackd out please post. I tried searching But then again I get every single topic with anything dealing with "blacking out" Which is quite a handful..
thanks.

Some say the debadged look is clean. IMHO it just looks erased, like the owner is ashamed of having a Maxima.

What is the easiest way to debadge without leaving an outline?

use a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive, then use dental floss/fishing line to remove the letters. if an outline remains just use goo gone

I'd say prolly black them out.Although debadging wouldn't look bad either.I guess its up to your own personal preference.

A debadged Max looks just like a bald headed dude. Then again I aint no kid so I can't see eye to eye with them.

The hair dryer works quiet well to warm up the adhesive, I would suggest using some fishing line as dental floss tends to break to easily. Heat everything up and then with the fishing line just saw your way through the adhesive tape that is used.

I put a couple of coats of Night Shade on it, to give it kind of a black chrome look.

That looks great! Did you remove them from the car to spray them or just tape around them very carefully?

to the OP, I think on a black car you should either leave them silver or debadge. If you black it out, you wont be able to see it anyway. Blacked out looks good on Drunkie's car because it makes them stand out.

My car is in the shop now getting a stillen lip kit, new trunk lid, front and rear bumpers re-sprayed and I'm taking off all the emblems except the center nissan logo since there is holes in the back and spraying it black. Since I'm doing both front and rear bumpers I'm doing something similar to the front and since I have an 01 the grill and emblem are stuck on there so I'm spraying the front grill black as well and painting the front emblem black as well...I'll post pics as soon as I get the car back...Should look good all blacked out..

Welll, went with debadge. Just had the car professionally waxed/buffed. I think it looks pretty bad a$$.However that night shades idea looks pretty swift.. Might do that..

Alright thanks a lot! What is your opinion for a white pearl colored max? I'm doing the brake calipers red i think but red decals would look nasty? maybe i should black em out or silver smoke?

And you're going to want to figure out your theme first... If it's red and black than black them out..

I left it on the car and masked it off (only the hamburger). The other emblems already had that look.
