Do I need a rear camber kit?
Do I need a rear camber kit?
Hey guys, I ordered Ksport coilovers and I had a quick question.
Coilovers I ordered:

My friend who is a mechanic said you can adjust front camber with the coilovers but I need to order a rear camber kit. Is this true? Ive been trying to find one and all I can find is a kit for the front. I dont know anything about adjusting camber... Never learned it. If someone could help me with this that would be great.

The alignment in the rear should be in spec unless it's been hit, and if it was hit hard enough the repair shop would have pulled the frame back to spec. In summary, just install the COs and enjoy.
Just so you know, it's a solid rear axle so no adjustment can be made. If it were an independent rear suspension, most don't have built in camber adjustments from the factory, only toe, but aftermarket camber kits can be purchased and installed so camber can be adjusted.
you can gain rear camber actually....a couple guys talked about doing this in an autox thread. Bending the rear beam purposely to create rear camber although the bad part is its not reversible.
This is correct as some like the look of the slanted tires, or for handling on road courses, but normally, with the stock rear suspension and being a DD, the toe/camber/wheel position should not be out of specs unless worn parts or damage from an accident.
