Really bad mpg after CAI..

So after I installed my cold air intake my mpg dropped tremendously. Now people have told me that its not because of the cold air intake. I was told that I needed to do the 100k mile service and that would help mpg..

anyone else encounter something like this..

Maybe you like the sound and keep your foot to the floor whenever you can.

Could just be coincidence. Check tire pressure. Could be new driving habits as stated above. What exactly is bad mpg??

i would disconnect the battery for a while and let the ecu reset.

I'm assuming you have no codes, right?

give it a tank to reset. I usually get 26mpg (mixed driving) but accidentially pulled the ecu fuse while trying to find a blown one and got 17mpg for the next tank. I bet it is in safe mode while it is re-learning everything
