long checklist to do-- want some advice...

So for those of you who read my thread about my girlfriend driving-- this is the part 2, continuation of that thread. Only this time, i have a list of things that my mechanic (trust worthy guy) asked me to do...and that crazy "doink, doink doink" noise-- it is from he exhaust that lost a support...so here is my 135K, 2003 to do list...if you guys can shed some light on when you did this to your car, and under what circumstance and cost...

-front struts
- strut mounts
- dust boots (going with the stock KYB/or tokico)

- Lower control Arms for both side (when is this necessary? car seems going well-- is this a major front end overhaul?)
- stabilizer link for both front left and right
- center muffler (from the cat back, including the muffler?)

seems like a long list- wheww...

alright-- let me see some numbers

-front struts
-> 131.3K miles - $300 KYB GR-2s but included rear shocks (eBay)

- strut mounts
-> 131.3K miles - Monroe Strut Mate, but sounds like one may be bad (or the bearing) already (1k miles later)

- dust boots (going with the stock KYB/or tokico)
-> 131.3K miles - Gabriel brand from AutoZone just 'cause it's all they had, but were like $25 each

- Lower control Arms for both side
-> soon - $130 off eBay for some no-names.

- stabilizer link for both front left and right
-> 129k miles - $40 off rockauto.com for Moog

- center muffler (from the cat back, including the muffler?)
-> no input

Moog is a very trusted and endorsed brand name among org members. Its reputation has been earned for their superior line of steering products.

From one old timer to another, Moog is the steering and susspension division of a large conglomerate, Federal Mogul.

They have been around the auto industry for years and own among other things Wagner Brakes, National Bearings, and Anco Wiper products.

Most Nascar teams use Moog specialty components on their cars.

And I beleive they provide quite a bit of American built cars their brake components including all of Ford, MAzda, and I think Nissan's built in the US.

And no I don't work for them, but I wish I did. All those free parts.

2 of my dust boots were literally shredded after 125,000 KM...so if you replace your struts DEFINITELY replace your dust boots just to keep your investment safe...they are not expensive parts but they are the only thing really keeping dust and road ish out of your strut sleeves
