Weird BOSE Radio Problem

Installed a replacement BOSE unit in my 2003 SE today. Everything appears to work fine as far as the radio and CD is concerned but the weird part is...whenever the headlights come on the display on the BOSE unit shuts off? Turn off the headlights and the BOSE display comes back on. Anybody experienced this before ??

Dimmer switch was the first thing I checked. Seems to definetly be some kind of electrical problem but since the cabling to the radio is just plug in ,not sure how or why the lights would affect it?

Yeah lights on radio are supposed to dim some when you turn lights on but not go all the way off. Thats weird I dont know what would be causing this. Sorry not much help maybe someone else has experienced this and hunted down the problem and will chime in.

I suppose you could find what wire is the illumination wire and snip that.

The headunit would be the same brightness all the time.
