235/55R17's

Sorry for the repost. I was wanting to know if 235/55R17's will replace 225/50R17's without any issues? I posted in the wheels/tires section but didn't get an answer. I have a line on a set of new Goodyear Eagle RS-A's and wanted a definite before I e-mailed the seller back to set up a time to look at them.

Thanks.

Going with the 235/55R17's will affect your speedometer at highway speeds by 3-4 mph depending on your speed.

I did look at the calculator provided in the wheel/tire section and realize there is a size difference. I'm not so much worried about the width, I was more concerned with the height difference causing rubbing issues.

I found a seller on CL selling these Goodyears for $250 or OBO, so the 235/45's aren't exactly an option. If they won't fit, so be it, I'll keep looking. But.....if there is no issues, I might go ahead and buy 'em before winter rolls in. At the present I have the RE92's and they suck!

Proper +1 step up is 235/45/17....or 245/40/17....or 255/35/17.... see the pattern?
