350z clutch-fidanza flywheel

-sprung disc
-unsprung flywheel

exedy oem replacement (#NSK1002)-replacement OEM flywheel

-unsprung disc
-dual mass (sprung) flywheel

It is possible to replace the clutch with the OEM Exedy replacement without getting a new flywheel, but the stock dual mass flywheel cannot be re machined, so the best you can do is clean it.

It it recommended to just get a new dual mass oem flywheel if your going to go with the OEM replacement route because dual mass flywheels are considered a "maintenance" item and should be replaced.

Also, make sure that with what ever setup you go with, you have only one sprung element. For example, the 350z clutch disc is sprung, so the flywheel is not. The oem exedy replacement is an unsprung disc, so the flywheel must be of the dual mass type.

I'd go with the OEM 350z clutch replacement and Fidanza flywheel if I were you. Supposedly a better clutch feel and stronger clamping force.

You can use the Exedy stage 1 clutch with the Fidanza, but the 350z clutch is almost the same and for a much lower price. You can't use the Exedy stage 1 clutch with the stock flywheel however. (unless you want a really jolty ride)

Is it ok to buy a used setup with very low miles... I would guess that the 350z clutch is better then our stock clutch

Would you buy used brake pads?
