illuminas winter settings.. what do you do
Well im up here in the Worcester area of Mass and we already got snow last night and today. Unbelievable. What i was wondering this is this is first year ill have the illuminas in the winter. I want to nkow from you guys your thoughts on different settings for the illuminas in the summer and the winter. i notice since its cold out now and the fluid in the cold has a higher viscosity making the shocks feel stiffer than the summer.
So i was wondering if you guys adjust them regarding outside temps or just leave them the same all year round. i have mine on 4 all around and was wondering if that might be too much for the cold weather (read: will higher setting in the cold blow them.)
thanks

1 F / 3 R, if its not really bad out I will go to 2 F / 3 R
like others have said, its not so much the colder temps /stiff shocks its more of the grip in low grip cituations,
I also swap back onto stock wheel/tire setup.
Pocono Mtns got 2" yesterday ! crazy.

^^^^ i hear ya. i set mine to 3/3 today and it feels a little smoother on the raods in this 39 degree weather. im gonna try 2/3 and see how that feels. i can understand the grip. if i left it at 4/4 i feel the rear would def slide out real easy in the snow. has anyone had a cold weather/ high setting blow out? i hust cant wait til spring to get the settings where i like them and not worry about "winterizing"tghe max. ppl from cali and the nice states have it made
The first summer I had them 5/5. Then for the winter I lowered the front to 4/5. I tried 3/5, but then the handling was too sloppy. I ended up leaving them on 4/5 the whole summer, and I think I will keep it at 4/5 this winter.
In the spring when I get a RSB, I will probably go back to 5/5 in the summer.
