That looks hot John...Great job!! The contrast with the rubber mats is one of a kind.
+1 for that find. I've looked everywhere for those mats, but to no avail.

The AE gas pedal is slightly different than the one you have. Fortunately, I did not have to modify anything as it was all plug and play.

Anyway, awesome mod, isn't it? What's next? Did you ever get a hold of Redline Goods?

Thanks, Roy. I sure do appreciate those compliments.

About Redline... I'm still giving consideration to that e-brake boot. Taking my time with that decision.

I did read that, about the dead pedal on that link before hacking away. And yeah, it was helpful.

However, that write-up deals with the accelerator pedal as a full replacement of the armature, which really isn't necessary if you're willing to be creative with the mod. Besides, the 5.5 gen accelerator is electronic.

True True, I hear you. When I went to get just the pad, it was only like $5 or $7 more for the entire assembly, so I just opted for that. Nonetheless, it came out the same way. Hope you enjoy the new pedals, I love mine.

Not sure it's worth the trouble as a business for someone to buy, cut and re-ship those dead-pedals. But if they did, I probably would have bought it pre-modded too.
