Possible blower motor out?? Please Help

Im new the the 5th gen forum I really don't know anything about them bc I have a 6th gen. My fiance has a 2002 SE and she says her fan (a/c and heat fan not radiator fan) just stopped blowing air. No hot air no cold air. Any potential solutions?? Could it be something simple as a fuse out or a relay shot? Or maybe the heater blower motor is out? I havent gotten home to check it out Im at work right now ha. Thanks in advance

I have a 2002 SE that the blower motor went out on. Months prior to it going out it made the most horrible noise when on. When it finally quit completely I bought one on ebay for $60 and was very easy to replace. I also had to replace 2 fuses for the blower motor. If it didn't make any noise prior to it going out most likely just the fuses.

Check the fan control amp (power module) for a failed open condition. This just happened to me and replacing this part fixed it.

I have had the same problem on my 5.5 gen back in the summer, the unit worked when I drove to work and then nothing when I went to go home ... right beside the blower motor there is a resistor that can go bad without any warning ... if you have the manual display with the slide controls that resistor goes for about 51.00 bucks at the dealership but if you have the digital display such as mine does that one sells for 151.00 ... best to have a look at the blower motor and make sure it is moving freely ... but if you have no noise or warning on the pending failure I would suspect the resistor has failed and it is a common failure part.

part number: Module ASSY 27761 - 2Y000
