hopefully simple IAT ???

ok so i bought an '00 Max SE. The guy i bought it from put a adapter on the MAF and a cone filter after that. My question is he left the IAT sensor unplugged and has no idea where he put it, so its throwin a code. I went out and bought a factory air box from the Junkyard but like the sound of the cone filter....so where can i plug the IAT into when i replace it to keep the cone filter???????

I dont think he has one yet.

When you get the IAT just plug it in ans zip tie it to something and the code should go away. It does not not need to physcially sit in a grommet to get rid of code.

The code will always be there if it is not covered.. my car has a code just because it was not covered as I removed it from the factory location. Put everything back where it should and no more codes....

Obviously we are contradicting each other. Mine is not covered and I have no code. If you take a look at a few past threads everyone says just zip tie it to something and I won't affect anything.

I am not sure what you mean by covered though....
