Anyone tried seafoaming?

I was interested in seafoaming my car. I got a 2k2.

I saw this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MA_ghUsuVE

Just wondering if anyone has tried it, and what are your thoughts

Also, anyone got a quick guide with pictures to show you exactly how to do it?

Hey! seafoam is good stuff, i have used it in my crankcase and gastank.... also i have used a product called TVF (trans valve fix) from Blaster i get it at my NAPA store i think advance auto may have both too.
I do think i like the TVF a little better they have a gas treatment/trans and oil treatment too
heres a plug: mom has a 95 grand prix 3.1L engine, it had a slight noise of a lifter or something something i am told is not uncommon on these engines i poured a bottle in as it ran and it stopped! also i have used it on carb cars where you por it down the throat in doses until the engine stops and then restart and it runs soooooo much better!
good luck!

If you change your oil periodically, you will not see any benefit from pouring sea foam into your crank case.

I am not content with pouring sea foam into the gas tank, as there are dedicated fuel system treatment and fuel injector cleaners for the job.

You can substitute seafoam with any O2 sensor safe intake or carb cleaners. Simply unplug the brake booster hose and squirt intake or carb cleaner into the hose while the engine is revving. This seems to be an easier solution than allowing the engine to slowly induce the seafoam.

However, that is not to say that seafoam is useless. On a really neglected vehicle, you will see major improvements from using seafoam and following its instructions!

LoveSick, what about the obsessively cared-for car, with regular 3K mile oil changes and low mileage, but noticeable pinging from idle to 2000 rpm?

I asked my dealership about their cleaning service, and they have a BG-product service, which includes whatever BG sells that's like Seafoam. Any thoughts on that?

Changing you oil periodically still will not keep your intake area free of oil residue, unless you've had an oil catch can from day 1, which I am sure no one has. Changing your oil periodically will not prevent oil buildup in the combustion chambers and all other areas that sea foam treats. Having a well maintained car helps keep the insides clean, but not spotless. That's just the nature of the beast.

Once a thread gets momentum, let it go where it goes, and something useful might come out of it... like Lovesick's, and Roy's comments.

A little tolerance would suit you well, Child.

Nothing has been said in this post that is different from the other billion threads on the same subject.

If this noob poster would have just searched "seafoam", he would have received plenty of information.

You guys are cold. You're mostly right about it being a dead horse. But it's still cold.

Technically, no. Search ID's are dynamic, so that URL is pointless.

In practical terms, um, yeah. Pretty much.

Since we are on this topic ... I don't see my brake booster vacuum line up there. Is it suppose to be on the left of the transmission fluid?

Just look for the hose that connects from the booster to the UIM.
