Brakes or Wheels The definition PITA

So I finally went for the BBK

Disassembled the 5.5 brakes and checked for clearance...... it was no good.

BUT.............

The offset of my wheels are 40 (20 x 8.5)

THEY WILL NOT FIT

I tried Spacers Still no clearance, debated on doing some metal work(no more raised nissan lettering) but did the math and they still will not clear.

I at the moment have 2 options

-Put the kit back up for sale ( I do not want to)

-Trade for some wheels with a 35 offset preferably an 18x8.5 (from a fellow orger )

- OR veryyyyy silly Run larger studs, Hub centric spacer and a little bit of camber the wheel is going to stick out more that the rear does..........

I am wondering if anyone has advice on the following

- how much can I shave off the caliper? I could clear it with a 1/4 inch spacer and a washer. ( I need to shave enough to not run a washer) on the actual double bubble where the front 2 pistons sit.....

ON a good note- I did receive my NWP Spacers!!!

Just run spacers since it looks like you still have room till the wheel meets the fender. You might want to check out the g35driver forum for some used one because they love spacers and have a lot for sale.

I am just worried about the tire hitting the fender in turns. a 1/4 of an inch and it will def cause some serious damage.

So.. You upgraded your brakes without checking to see if they would clear your wheels first.

had the same problem with my wheels. spacer just would push them out too far. proirties were bigger brakes were needed so bought new wheels to clear the brakes. just take your time in picking out the right wheels. no need to rush and regret your decision.

I did not know normally the offset I have clears them, I was a guinea pig for that wheel. I even talked to Matt from Blehmco before hand.
