You don't think it's gonna last long in what way-doing its job, or maintaining its physical appearance?

I think he means the bracket welds. From what I've read, the eBay ones are prone to having their welds crack and break. At which point, you take it to a shop and weld the bejesuz out of it. Problem solved.

If I had bought an eBay FSTB, I think I would do that proactively. As it stands, my Racingline looks seriously beefy.

Secret to getting them even tighter is to put the brackets on, then raise the front wheels off the ground from the engine crossmember, then tighten it outwards real tight.
hmm... interesting secret....

Yeah, but aren't there reasons for torque specifications on the upper strut bolts?

This is some of the most misleading info... nothing wrong with the "welds" seeing as though when u say ebay that's the first thing ppl talk about.... I will personally (money back) gurantee any maxima own this... if u install a ebay fstb and you find some way to break or bend it just from driving and your car isn't totalled, I will personally send u money out of my bank account... dude a fstb does nothing for a 5.5... the EXTREMELY minimal gains it offers cannot be felt... this has been done already... its crazy how the ppl that talks about it only daily drives there car... ask i30drvr (or whatever his name is) that actually seriously autocross and will probebly out do everyone in this thread what fstb he is using and how long... OP again to the OP, its more a looks thing... get a name brand for bragging rights or just get a cheap one to add suttn to ur mod list... no difference... /thread... doesn't matter what other BS logic anyone else comes up with... I've been provving this forum wrong ever since I've join...

What ppl fail to realise is that these things are adjustable... what kind of "fitment issues" are we talking about???

My experiences with FSTB's are from another car (5th gen Prelude), so take the following with a grain of salt. Though based upon my experiences I would like to try one on my 5.5, but there are other issues to tackle first.

When initially installed, I noticed no difference in handling but a decrease in noise (creaks) in highly loaded situations (entering/exiting highly slopped driveways). When removed, I noticed a small difference in initial turn-in (less 'crisp' without) and noise increase. Notably, I installed the bar with the suspension unweighted which loaded the bar while the suspension was weighted, the bar was one piece (no joints) and the car was auto-crossed this car for a while.

For mad street cred:
