WTB: VQ35DE or VQ30DE-K motor

So my engine blew up today so I'm in the market for a VQ35DE or VQ30DE-K to perform a complete swap.

Ok so I thought I was in the classified 5-th gen forum. Guess not. Mods please move.

Just out of curiosity, how many miles did you have on it and what caused it to blow up?

I liked the vq30 more mainly because (I think) It sounded meaner and I liked how it had more torque so I could feel the pull much more than the vq35. On the other hand the vq35 looks a lot nicer and has more hp. It's really up to you. OH and one more thing the vq30 consumes less gas so that's a plus

I had just over 160k miles. I'm not exactly sure what caused it honestly. I was sitting at a light and all of a sudden it stalled. I started it back up and all I heard was major valve tap. I quickly pulled into a parking lot but apparently the damage has been done. Obviously I lost oil pressure but I'm not sure why.

Hmm. Shame it went so early. Good luck with the new engine.

Fixed

Plus, if driven correctly, the vq35 shouldn't consume hardly any more gas than the vq30. I've read on here about some 6th gen owners getting 30+ mpg.

You don't buy a maxima for gas efficiency.
