Anyone have any info on how to remove the side seat airbag w/o ruining the seat?

Is the only option to replace with a full seat if the airbag is deployed? Can dealership or specializing garages install an airbag from one seat into another?

i have no idea, but im curious as why you want to. looking at the seat i dont think its possible

 

it's not possible to do that, since you have sensors on the side door, so let say if you do remove the airbag, then you have A) you have a gaping hole on the side of the seat, and B) the side airbag light will come on.

 

ive seen these after a crash boyy the seat looks horrible!

 

May I ask why?? And no, I really don't think it'd be possible.

 

His side airbag went off and he wants to transplant an undeployed airbag from a cloth seat into his leather one...

Are there people (or dealerships) that do this?
