I was just wondering is the silver vinyl that is being used a light or dark silver? I have an 09 Max (Paint Code K12) and want something close to the color of that.

I'm pretty sure it's literally silver, as in RGB(192,192,192). More like the 09 on the left side of your sig photo.

When applied as an inside-window decal, (like the 7th gen OEM sticker) the glass tint will make it more subtle, except when in direct light, when it stands out nicely.

Alright cool thanx for that information. The silver decal can be applied to the outside correct? Cause that is where it would be going.

Last I checked, erty67 has them for inside or outside, in white, silver and black. With a silver car (like me), if you're going to a decal adhered to the paint, then I'd go with white. If you're wanting the decal on the window, then I'd go with silver. But that's just my taste.

Seeing this thread get bumped reminded me that I needed to re-take the decal photos, because they were originally of the prototype. So I finally did that today. Here are the pictures, more accurately represented, and with better photography. (The old pics are gone, these replaced them.)

The silver is close to the 4th gen sterling mist color. Don't know if that helps. And like Rochester mentioned, they can be purchased for interior of exterior application.

Sticker looks great in person. Gives it such a mild approach to standing out.

This picture here is Rochester's 5.5 gen (that's me) and Erty67's 4th gen, side-by side at the hotel during Maxus2010. Well, almost side-by-side, not accounting for the fern. Anyway, I thought this was an appropriate shot, all things considered from this little decal project.

Good to actually meet you in person, Ed.

So everyone who knows Maxima knows that their tag line for it is "Four Door Sports Coupe" so the decal reinforces that and it is a good addition in my opinion.

erty,

do you at all do lettering in the same style as the oem lettering on the trunk?

ie: 'Maxima' or 'SE', 'GE' etc.

That's OK, man. Sometimes opinions are like the gift of day-old popcorn that nobody asked for, and few would eat.

First off, the O is the only part that's red, and second, it'll go great with the rest of the 00-03 Maxima parts Nismo makes...

Oops my bad, the forum interwebs grammar/ font color is so important- just like the fact that Nissan used the 4dsc moniker in the 4th-6th gen maximas...

But I seriously love your replies- they speak volumes.

I'm glad you enjoy them. I figured since you went through the trouble of coloring the letters on your AWESOME nismo decal representation, you'd like to know.

While we're at it, it's a Ionic rear spoiler, not Iconic.

There's some irony in that observation. Or icrony, as the case may be.

Always a pleasure to see you on the Org, Zero. You have a good eye for details, and I've always appreciated your input.

I suppose that's possible, because anything is possible really.

Personally, I think having one of these in his back seat window would put him over the top on the Coolness Scale. That is, assuming he hasn't already peaked.

Nice design Rochester, I had no idea it was yours! And erty67 does amazing work making them! When I first saw the ad for the 4DSC decals, they looked SO cool, and I HAD to get them! Here's mine; Silver decals, inside mount, and they change shades like the Sterling Mist paint.
