Exhaust Suggestion

Ok I have a Fed spec max and I was thinking what was best. I have headers and ypipe and also basically a resonated test pipe from ebay. Do you think it would be better to put my stock cat back on because it takes some of the back pressure away with the resonated test pipe?

back pressure is a myth.

that said. Stock catback will keep you quiet, there is nothing really to gain except maybe about 3-4hp with an aftermarket catback.

Only gains you will really see is when you go to a 3"

Go with an aftermarket catback or just fix the smashed/crimped sections on the stock catback and call it the day! It's not about backpressure it's about exhaust gas velocity and scavenging!
I've never had anyone explain how well those Cattman 3" catbacks behave in everyday traffic between 30-55 mph with plenty of stop and go!!!!!

There have been cases in which power has been loss deleting the cat...The cat sometimes straighten the airflow more than a gutted cat...but I'm not sure how your resonated test pipe is constructed (louvered or perforated) but, using a high flow cat could cure your problem....check with Warpspeed and pickup a flanged cat....

Please take this advice...

Get the megan OR-ES catback, it is amazing. I get people complimenting me on it all the time. the sound is one of a kind and you can hear its a v6. it dosent have that 4cyl ricer sound. The sound is right in between my friends 350z and my others r33 skyline.
