OE alarm issues

Hey guys - I had a question about the factory alarm on my 2k2, and was hoping you could shed some light. The alarm will go off for seemingly no reason at completely random times. It doesn't matter if the doors are locked or not. It's been going on for a few days now, and in all honesty, it's getting pretty annoying. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to disengage the alarm altogether? Any info would be great. Thanks in advance!

If a remote starter was installed on your car previously, then the alarm will go randomly. It happened to me because my car would try to turn on by itself sometimes without a key in the ignition.

Check your hood sensor and the ground to the fuse box closest to the battery. I had the random alarm issue and I think my hood sensor wasn't sitting properly.
