climate control issue memory loss

Replaced my alternator with a reman but was given a faulty one so car crapped out again.Got the faulty alternator exchanged and charged up the battery (it was totally dead)

Now when I turn the car off (heat is on) and the car sits for more than 5mins and I go to restart it the heat is off.

Is this a battery issue? it was brand new when I did the alternator the first time.
