Cold Weather Question about coilovers (A33)

I have a question about the cold weather and my current suspension.. I currently have Tein SS coilovers on my car, and i paid a lot of money for them and i don't want to blow or damage them them with the freezing cold New York winter months. My question is, does the cold effect or potentially damage my coilovers.. please any input would be greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance

There is a myth that goes around saying cold weather damage ur coilovers but its not true.. if u want to take them off then do so but the weather doesn't hurt it

the cold itself wont hurt them at all, that being said the salt and sand spread on the roads will cause faster wear on the whole car not just suspension.

That's a real good question, and I'm in for reading answers and opinions. (Also living in NY, and considering Teins for next Spring.)

However, here's a thought that might come into play: at this point in time, your remaining ownership on an old 5th Gen is probably less than the time it would take to cause winter-damage on those coilovers.

If I do purchase Teins, they'll only see 2 winters at the most. But I still want to hear what people say about coilovers and Northeast winter driving. The amount of salt NY dumps on our roads is crazy.

Well, I have to say the color of surface rust is far more appealing than flaming purple.

(Seriously, I had to say that.)

hahahahaha, that is exactly what I'm worried about. I'm a very picky person especially when i comes to my car.. i guess ill be swapping back to the stock set up for the winter months because i really want to protect my investment and i want to get my moneys ($1500) worth out of these.. I love them they ride sooo very smooth and comfortable.
