Mine is is in almost the same spot as Cmax. Just make sure it is either straight in the side or angled down, if it's towards the bottom of the pipe it can collect condensation and fail prematurely.

Can see the bung in this picture on the side of the pipe closest to the camera after the Y and before the flex

So whats the difference performance wise if someone were to go the 4th gen header route on the 5.5 and what would be need to be done for it to run properly.
Don't feel like pulling headers off my auto to install on my 6speed and getting a good deal on the header

Here's a pic of the OBX v1 headers.

You would need to block off the egr bung on those headers. I would assume the difference in performance, if any, would be due to equal length vs unequal length.

+1, it's been pretty well proven on this platform and many others that the gains from equal length are too small to properly measure on a dyno if they exist at all. Just a sound mod...

If you've heard how the average 4th gen sounds with what you might call a "pontiac" sound, that is what you'll get with unequal length.

Unequal length:

Equal length:

Tried to pick videos filmed with similar conditions (same intake, intake manifold, and exhaust)
