35w or 55w?
Im pretty sure mine are 35w and i also have the lamin-x. they look like yours, i fcukin love them...but they would really be insane with the capsules.
would those even fit over a non-H3c bulb ?

Those look good. So you2 have 3k hids with lamin x. What is lamin x. Is it yellow film or fogs painted yellow.Did you try the 3k hids without lamin x and if so what was the difference. How hard was the hid install
However, I think there is a 9006 version. That MIGHT work. Key word being might. If in doubt, ask for a measurement.
I did mine with the 9006 yellow capules over 3000k HID's. The 9006 capsule are slightly too long, but I was able to get it to work.

Unfortunate part is the capsule on the driver side broke almost a year later and I can't find a replacement now.
With the capules, the contrast is awesome. I can drive in pretty much any weather and vision is great. Just using plain 3000k HID's don't give enough of a contrast.

they are very hard to find unfortunately, i would troll the classifieds here to find a set. honestly i would go the same route as custom lows using a 3k hid kit with some yellow tint, if i could afford it id do the same. im using stock H3 bulbs without the glare guards and re-aimed down and some $7 ebay tint see sig for pic, they are definitely yellow and really bright. the best part is it costed a total of $7 and 20 mins worth of work using the stock equipment and they dont blind traffic like most think.

there really isnt a write up its pretty easy. just take out the fogs and take the bulbs out and throw them in the oven on a cookie sheet 250 degrees or so for 10-15 mins. take out the 2 screws on the housing that keep the lenses in and CAREFULLY separate the lenses from the housings. or use a handheld torch going around the housing applying heat without setting them on fire. thats what i did and it was sooooo much faster. them once open remove the shield thats held in with a small screw. when u remove the lenses make sure u take out the 2 small screws on the lense/housing. once u put it all back together reseal them u can throw them back in the oven for a few mins to make sure they seal properly. when u go to put the fogs back in the bumper make sure u aim them down towards the road using the long plastic tipped screw thingy lol. i did think of using yellow bulbs but honestly its pretty dam bright with the stock bulbs. the way i did it is very easy and cheap and they look great. for the price i dont think theres a better, brighter way to do them.
I was able to fit the h3 hid kit bulb under my h3 capsules, and they have not broken or gotten damaged yet. I think my kit came with the shorter hid bulb that keeps the focal point intact(but is not the h3c bulb, it looks like a regular HID bulb, just a bit shorter).got myself some replacements as well, when they were still easily available.

They're still around. I see them from time to time in hidplanet classifieds or on ebay. usually about 20-25 bucks a pair. Usually you can't find them brand new simply because most of the supply has been pulled from junkyard vehicles that had them (most notable lexus).
They are the deepest yellow looking lights you can buy. However with 3000k HIDs there should be less work involved (assuming the HID bulb fits properly without hitting the glare cap since you shouldn't have to open your headlights.

i just bought my 3k hid fogs and installed them on mon. it was pretty easy. the only thing was the glare gaurd. i had to push them forward a little bit but not most of my light from the fog goes sideways and the right one goes further than the left. what do i do to correct this. take out the glare gaurd.
Don't take out the glare guard. It's there for a reason.
They put it in because the foglights glared too much with a 1500 lm H3 bulb. Putting in a 3000 lm HID bulb and cutting out the glare shield is just a bad combination.

ic. so what should i do. try and bend them down more.
thats bright. I have 3k fogs with lexus capsules and mine arent even that bright. did you take off or bend the glare shields? or a link to where you bought your 3k hids.
whatever you do, do NOT get higher wattage bulbs. you WILL cause damage. i have laminex tint and this is what happened with 100w bulbs after a couple days. the lense is also warped slightly, you cant tell in the pics, but it can be felt if you touch them.

YELLOW CAPSULES!!!
After searching here, hidplanet.com, and letting google lead me to the prelude forums, I came across this link. The only problem is they cost $40, which is more than a basic 3000k HID kit from ddmtuning.com.

These fit H3 HID's ONLY
I havent bought them yet, I'm gonna wait to see if people give insight on them...

The more color you add, the higher the kelvin temp, but the lower the lumens. Kelvin is how deep the color is, lumen is the brightness of the light, two seperate values....
Therefore, if you have yellow bulbs, the light has to go through the tint, reducing the brightness, THEN you will be sending the light through the yellow lenses on the outside, thus reducing the light output even more.
Its a trade off. What do you want more, a brighter light output that reaches slightly farther, or a deeper yellow tint that you can see from 5 miles away? lol
