Sounds like more yellow is the way to go! We get alot of fog late at night in south Louisiana, and I do 1.5hrs of night driving 5 days/week, so I value light that travels great distances, but I still think I'll be getting the capsules I posted earlier, along with 3000k HID's... I'm just afraid the DEEP yellow tint wont go well with the not-so-deep blue tint of the stock HID's in the low beams...

Have you considered the capsules over the yellow tinted fog light assemblies?

I was looking them up but it was pretty hard for me to find the H3 Capsules. I bought some H3 3000K bulbs for my fogs but I am not willing to cut anything so HID's aren't an option for my fogs. I'll just stick to regular 35w bulbs for them. Haha

I still have to look into what kind of wire cutting is needed, that kind of scares me too! But I think the INSTANT-ON look of HID's thrill me enough to overlook the danger of splitting wires

Yeah, I have thrown HID's on every car at my house, including my mom's van. I ordered the 5000K Kit for my car the first day I bought it, maybe 30 minutes after I brought it home lol

Here's a write up that someone replied to my thread on it

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/176970/4

It doesn't seem too bad, all the steps are there, but I still don't trust myself enough to cut any wires.

Does the 5.5 also have H3's? If it does, I don't think it should be different, all the wiring is the same. But then again, that's just me. You're better off asking someone with HID's on their 5.5

You're very welcome. For the 5th gens, it's the link I posted about two posts ago. I'm just gonna stick with regular bulbs. I wasted $15 on buying my 3000K H3 HID bulbs since I have a pair of ballast's lying around, I'd thought I would put them to use haha

thank you. and ive never been pulled over or flashed once...

i did not take off or bend the glare sheilds at all. and i have the long bulbs, not the h3c short bulbs. i bought the hid kit locally but i forget if they are 35w or 55w. i think 35w idk. and i have the yellow lamin-x film on the lens. i custom fitted the long h3 bulbs into the fog housing so i wouldnt have to touch the glare sheilds.

I retrofitted the yellow capsules into the housings and use the stock h3c bulb. Works great and looks great.

imo: the deeper the yellow, the better, IF and ONLY IF you have at least 10K hids. the contrast is what makes yellow fogs really pop.
yellow fogs with halogen headlights FTL.

i have a 3k hid kit from ddm tuning and lexus capsules in my fogs. I like the color a lot. My problem is the pass. side shoots all over the side of the road. Cars pass me and they turn yellow. Tlhe drivers side is perfect. Is it possible that the capsule bent inside or were put in wrong? Im gonna attempt to bake them open tomorrow.
