Chicken bones on top of engine....
wtf.. every other week when i check my oil something new is on top of my engine.. the engine cover is dirty but im trying to figure out what animal can fit between the engine top and the hood..

Lol. That is a new one. I don't even know what to tell you. I am not even sure of what you can put safely to stop them from coming. Maybe a few moth ***** under the car when you park???? Most animals hate them....

I would put my money on a cat all day long..... If you want you could take a habanero pepper and chop it up fine. When you park open the hood and put "some" on the engine cover. What ever animal it is will not come back to that spot guaranteed... Just make sure you remove the chopped pepper before you start your car.
Use a piece of stiff paper to put the chopped up peppers on.

I am betting on the cat and one of these fine mornings that stupid bugger isn't going to hear you coming and after a night of enjoying the nice engine heat is going to be startled by you starting the engine and going flying into the Rad fan, you may even have enough left over to re-string your tennis racket.

most likely a stray cat in your neighbor hood just seeking some warm while it eats the table scraps it found in the local garbage.

Thats so funny,I remember A old post with the same kinda story A few years ago ....rats IMO....It happend to me too in my old car that I had which happend to be A Integra, one night I opened my hood to check the oil and it looked like something had dinner on my engine LOL. Your lucky cause I read A post that sombody said they chewed his wires also, so borrow A cat and tie it to the front wheel or get some kitty urine and spray under where you park it....Im joking but that will solve your problem

This probably won't help you but it might make you feel a little bit better. Back in the day when I had a Chrysler Concorde, my engine bay had oil spots on it. When I opened it up I found bits and leftovers of different types of food. Everything from small dried macaroni to some chicken (I hope) bones.

One night my neighbor went to check the oil on his Jeep Wrangler opened the hood and found a kitten just chillin in his engine bay, still has the cat to this day and that was about eight years ago... I would try moth *****, should solve your problem.

They didn't stay in your car, only used your airbox as storage for their nuts. Chipmunks store their nuts for winter season....

C'mon you don't really think that a rat has taken up residence inside the cabin area of the car, but enjoys dinning out by pulling up a seat in the engine bay ... do you?

My money is on rats. I've had them in my engine bay, and moth ***** drove them out. I would caution against using too many moth *****, because you will likely smell them in the cabin and it isn't exactly a pleasant odor. About 10 ***** in strategic locations would be the max (for the Max). Good luck.

Lol, I'm actually surprised anything could get itself up in the engine compartment of a Maxima. My Dad has a '94 diesel Chevy pickup that he rarely uses. In the winter he leaves the engine block heater plugged in all the time so the combo of a permanently warm engine, enough engine bay space to make a family of 4 in China comfortable, and a vehicle that gets used maybe once a month is irresistible to all the squirrels around. Every time I open the hood there are a ton of acorns and various crap laying on top of the intake manifold.
