Don't take those crossmembers off, just modify them a little

Mine was modded to make room for an extra resonator, but if yours is hanging low then you have the same need.

Spark I though about that but the OBX headers design is sucks where it meets the stock cat. It makes it hang little lower causing me to take it off. I'm considering doing what you did with your setup.

You'll have to have a hangar mount fabricated to the OBX ypipe since they forgot to copy that part.......My buddy just had that same thing addressed since it was hanging more with my Cattman 2.5" catback he's test driving on his 02 Maxima......

See where I got it weld and got it bolted. It doesn't go up or down or sideways.

Don't cut your brace just have a muffler shop lift the OBX ypipe and weld on a hangar rod and fit into existing hangar bushing above the ypipe, here's my picture....

see my clearance done right by Cattman's perfectionism when it comes to fitment:

Need one of these!!!!!!

Here's my ypipe hangar:

Here's my cheap mount that stays put!!!

There is about 4 to 5 video of this exhaust. No, It doesn't sound like ricer and it's a noticable louder only at certain RPM range depends on the load.

Yes it's louder than stock but not obnoxiously loud, More of a deep ballsy idle that is barely noticeable, under part throttle acceleration the car is a little louder, here's a sample:

So did you ever find out why yours hangs so low? Are you still rocking the OBX header? Found a shop to weld hangar rod?

It also depends on if you have headers or not. I dont, so it isnt really THAT loud. It's noticeable but not obnoxious either.

I dont know how particular you are with your money but you don't have to save up for the full amount. He charges you a deposit of like $220 or so and then he'll charge you balance the day before he ships it. It took mine about 6 weeks to get to my door step. So if you ordered it now you'd have about that too save up for the remainder if not longer depending on how many orders he needs to get another batch going...

Hi Guys,

I just placed my order for the 3" Cat-back with Mr. Cattman himself. I am order #11 on the batch. He will submit the batch order to his fabrication shop soon. So if anyone else wants to jump in and get the backorder discount, this week would be ideal. Or else you may have to wait for another 10+ batch order in the future.

Hi Guys,

BTW, for those who wants Cattman's Headers, he will also submit the batch order soon to the fabrication shop. I placed an order for these along with the 3" Catback.

Since Friday when I called Brian and talked about it I've gone back and forth and I just can't justify spending that money on an 8 year old car.

I really wish that I could but I'm just going to save that money and spend it next year or the year after on a newer car that I can make even faster.

Edit: Still second guessing myself..

I already know why it hangs low. It's the design. The pipe that curves from flex section and meets the cat needs to be raised to fit nicely and tucked.

I got that done the day I got it installed. Still no help. If I get it pulled little more up top it would break.

Have you tried reversing the cat and ensured that the Catback has the dot located @ 12 o'clock, that resonator front flange is angled on Cattman catbacks.....If everything is correct cut the OBX ypipe rear flange and reweld it on properly.....

Yeah everything is in correct position. I try talking to the exhaust shop to build me a proper y-pipe to meet my cat. They said it's hard to work with SS exhausts. I have to find another exhaust shop now.

Main reason for me to ask this because I heard the one with the stock cat and one with test pipe. Test pipe one sounds more throaty(GOOD).
