cattman vs megan? Oh shoot...
Not to start a flamming war. We know how things get when cattmans name is in against any other companies. Not to worry though this is not a header thread. It's a catback thread. Was looking to get some input on the differences? From what I see they look pretty similar in design, and what I hear I like megan more with headers but they both sound pretty close. Any reason for the price difference? Or just a name brand thing?

both are 2.5" ID, both have dual tips that fit well. Cattman probably has a slightly bigger resonator making the slight sound difference.
I'd have bought megan instead of Custom Maxima if I could have found one...

Both should perform the same, though.
Megan has dual 2.5" tips just like the cattman, I'm pretty sure. They look almost identical.
If you have no cat, you may want an extra resonator for the megan.

mmmm... idk why the price difference, from what most say, megan is a tad louder, but i dont even think megan makes catbacks fot the 5.5 anymore so thats that lol... IMO cattman is a tad better, just by looks though... idk how the megan sounds with headers

I can say for certain that the cattman 3" looks amazing and sounds amazing. I am sooo tempted to put a backorder in and sell my current one for cheap.

Megan aren't just a tad bit louder....they're way louder! The kid I sold my Cattman ypipe to had a Megan Exhaust, the resonator is smaller the muffler body is only a 14"er and the entire exhaust system is polished. Cattman's system is IMO better built and proven, with it's 22" resonator and 19" muffler with those beautiful freakin 3 " tips....I'll get a 3" exhaust IF SOMEONE HERE IN hOUSTON HAD ONE INSTALLED SO I COULD GO FOR A RIDE AND SAMPLE IT!!!!! The Megan w/ypipe was louder than My Cattman w/ Cattman headers setup!

I'm currently running headers with a glasspack just because it was toooo loud but I already feel like i'm losing alot of back pressure as everday goes by and i'm looking to buy some cattman or megan catback asap......

On top of that my throttle response isn't the greatest. I'm eager to finally get a REAL catback on and i'm lookin for no drone or very minimal. I'm tired of oud cars, was fun for a while but no more. Cattman is the route it looks like for me.

before i decided to get my cattman axleback, i was trying to find a megan catback, but i couldnt find one in stock and the one time i did, i didnt have the cash at the time...so when i saw the cattman, i purchased it, and i am more than satisfied

The megan catback sound amazing at around 2000 to 3000 rpms, after that i cant hear anything cuz my intake kicks in. Also my megan rattles alittle because one of the pegs for the rubber holders hits on the sidwalls where the exhaust goes. A catback exhaust is only going to give u a few hp. Go cheap, and spead the good money on hi flow cat, heades, and y pipe u will get the most out of that.
