01' poor turning radius

I know I asked this question before, but it was right before I left for the Big 12 game in Dallas and did not get a change to read the response....so...can anyone tell me why my '01 SE has a **** poor turning radius and is there a fix?

It's because of the 17" rims and tires. The radius is bigger for clearance issues I think. There was a thread about this a few days ago so you might try searching. The 16" rimmed Max's have a better turning radius, I think.

Russ did a fix, but you'll have to remove a metal piece. Try searching for Russ's thread in this forum.

Does it mean that when you change your wheels to a smaller size, the radius will be smaller?

The wheel size does not automatically change the turning radius, the Geniuses at Nissan decided to put some steering stops for Maximas equipped with 17" tires which increased the turning radius from 35' to a whopping 40'. I still don't understand why the turning radius has to be this freaking big to clear the 17" tires, however Russ removed those steering stops and was able to decrease the turning radius without the tires rubbing against the inner fenders.

Hmmm so since I have a Max GXE with 15" wheels, i should have no problems changing to a 17" wheels right?
