The spec stage 3 looks nearly identical to the CM stage 4 that I'm using, and I must say I love it. It will chatter some if you try to engage it at anything below about 1500 rpms, but I don't mind having to throw a little ricer rev to 2k or so when I launch. Otherwise, it performs amazingly and it can take constant slippage and abuse at the drag strip.

I'm not sure what type of clutch it was, but I was reading somewhere that they make some clutches now that are so resistant to heat you have to really try to blow them up haha in theory, you only need 1 clutch for the life of the vehicle, but they're like $2,000 or something.

I'm just gonna wait til my clutch blows up before I replace it. Might do with your setup, sparks. Or I might go with the 350z/fidanza. Haven't decided yet, I know the setups are completely different.

Well the puck-type ceramic clutches like my CM stage 4 or the spec stage 3 can hold up to basically as much heat as you can put in them. Slipping them hard from redline to launch on slicks is a non issue.

Maybe you are thinking about a dual disc clutch... it's not that they're indestructable, they just have dual discs and can do the same work with half the stress of a regular single disc.

Most other types have some kind of downfall when it comes to hard driving, like the Kevlar ones and their complete destruction if they get too hot instead of glazing and eventually working again like our stock or other organic clutches.

has anybody considered using an Exedy OEM 350z clutch? I would assume its the same as those using the stock z clutch. Any thought? I think im going to go spec flywheel and exedy OEM z clutch. If anybody has heard anything about the exedy OEM's let me know...PLEASE!
